Stephanie Prewitt joined the Great American Conference staff in July of 2011 as assistant commissioner for operations.
At the GAC, Prewitt coordinates internal operations for the conference office, oversees the game officials' pay program, maintains office financials, among other duties.
Prior to joining the GAC staff, Prewitt served the previous four years as assistant commissioner for internal affairs for the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WVIAC). She also served as the league’s senior woman administrator.
The 1998 Appalachian State University graduate received her degree in physical education and was named ASU's Health, Leisure, and Exercise Science major of the year. She previously served on the West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission's staff as an Educational Talent Search Counselor. The Louisburg, North Carolina native also has been part of the volleyball coaching staffs at Watauga High School (NC) and Bluefield Middle School.
Stephanie was an all-conference standout in volleyball and softball as a prep athlete at Louisburg High School. She participated in three North Carolina Class AA volleyball final fours, including a pair of state championship matches.
Stephanie has assisted with the NCAA Division II men's golf, women's lacrosse, and softball national championships.
Stephanie and her husband Will were active volunteers with the Labrador Retriever Rescue in SW Virginia, and currently live in Dardanelle, Ark. with their daughter Olivia and the family's seven dogs.
