Audra Kedy joined the Great American Conference in February of 2012 as the league’s assistant commissioner for compliance after spending the previous five years as a compliance assistant at Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kansas. She advanced to the position of Associate Commissioner in June 2013. She received a promotion to Senior Associate Commissioner in 2016.
Kedy’s GAC responsibilities include rules compliance, interpretations, governance, national policy issues, national letters of intent and NCAA coaches certification, among other duties. She will also serve as the league’s primary liaison to the faculty athletic representatives (FARs), Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) and she will serve as the GAC liaison to the NCAA regarding compliance reports and institutional violations. In addition to her compliance duties, she will also serve as the league’s championship administrator for cross country and golf.
An active member and former co-chair of the NCAA Division II Collegiate Commissioners Association of Compliance Administrators (CCACA) and a member of Women Leaders in College Sports (formerly known as NACWAA), Audra completed the Institute for Administrative Advancement in 2014. She is currently the chair of the NCAA DII Committee for Legislative Relief.
During Kedy’s five-year tenure at NCAA Division II Pitt State, she served as an academic and compliance assistant. She worked with the Compliance Assistant, partnered with financial assistance with the scholarship process, developed and maintained a monthly compliance newsletter and compiled NCAA sport sponsorship reports, among other duties.
The Arkansas City, Kansas native holds two degrees from Pitt State, a bachelor’s degree in psychology obtained in May of 2008 and a master’s degree in business administration obtained in December of 2010.
While attending Pitt State, Kedy was a three-time All-MIAA honoree in the javelin throw and served as team captain for her senior season.
She is a proud alumna of Alpha Sigma Alpha. Audra is currently involved in the Junior League of Oklahoma City and the St. Jude Songwriters & Symphony Planning Committee.
At a July 3, 2015 ceremony in Cancun, Mexico, she married Scott Kedy. The couple resides in Oklahoma City with their dogs, Emmy and Branch. The couple have one daughter, Sloane, who was stillborn on November 2, 2018.
